Youth Climate Summit, NYC
SEPTEMBER 22
Gathering global leaders, activists and brands, the 10th Social Good Summit will focus on climate change. The agenda for SGS 2019 is yet to be released. Stay tuned!
2019 Concordia Annual Summit, NYC
Kicking off on the 22nd of September, the 2019 Concordia Annual Summit is the largest non-partisan forum alongside UNGA. Gathering decision-makers and influencers in the public, private and nonprofit sectors, the Summit will curate critical global discussions to drive action on the following SDG2 theme: The future of food: innovation & the role of the smallholder farmer.

SEPTEMBER 23
UN Secretary-General António Guterres is calling on all leaders to come to New York on 23 September with concrete, realistic plans to enhance their nationally determined contributions by 2020, in line with reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 45 per cent over the next decade, and to net zero emissions by 2050.
Bringing together governments, the private sector, civil society, local authorities and other international organizations, this Summit aims to develop ambitious solutions in the following areas:

High-level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage, NYC
The high-level meeting “Universal Health Coverage: Moving Together to Build A Healthier World” will gather heads of state, health leaders, politicians, policy-makers and advocates to garner financial and political commitments from countries and sustain health investments. The expected outcome of this meeting is a political declaration on universal health coverage.
Climate Week, NYC
Hosted by The Climate Group, Climate Week NYC will run from the 23 to 29th of September and showcase climate action and discuss how to do more. The Opening Ceremony will take place on the first day of Climate Week, the 23rd of September. Here are the three categories of Climate Week events relevant to SDG2:
From 23 to 27 September, the SDG Action Zone will showcase sessions, panel discussions, lightning talks, and more to gather, share stories and devise plans to accelerate SDG action. Find the programme here and register here.
SEPTEMBER 24
SDG Summit, NYC
From 24th to 25th of September, heads of state and gov’t will gather at UNHQ to review progress in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Part of High-Level Week 2019, this event creates space to review progress, examine obstacles, exchange best practices, and recommend new actions to achieve the goals. Goalkeepers 2019, NYC
The 3rd Goalkeepers event will take place from the 24 - 25th of September, focusing on the challenge of fighting global inequality to ensure no one is left behind. While yet to be released, the confirmed 2019 event speakers include Bill Gates, Melinda Gates, Deputy SG Amina J. Mohammed, among others. The 2019 Goalkeepers Report is expected to be released on the 24th.
