World Humanitarian Day

2019 World Humanitarian Day focuses on the work of women in crises throughout the world. Women have long been on the front lines in their own communities around the world-- from war-wounded Afghanistan to foo insecure Sahel.

Women also make up a large number those who risk their own lives to save others-- first to respond and last to leave. 

This year's World Humanitarian Day celebrates these women and the important role they play in our current world. #WomenHumanitarians
