POSITION TITLE:   Junior Communications Officer, Social Media and Graphic Design - SDG2 Advocacy Hub

LOCATION:             London (preferred)

REPORTS TO:        Director and Communications Officer of the SDG2 Advocacy Hub Secretariat

The SDG2 Advocacy Hub is looking for a Junior Communications Officer, Social Media and Graphic Design to join the Hub’s Secretariat to support content creation, including the creation of creative social media assets and pages on the Hub and Chefs' Manifesto Websites. In this role, the Junior Communications Officer, Social Media and Graphic Design will support the Communications and Policy Officers with graphic design and social media management as required. The Junior Communications Officer will split their time as follows: 60% of time support of Chefs' Manifesto communications; 40% of time broader SDG2 Advocacy Hub communications.


The core responsibilities/activities of this role include:

  • Producing compelling, consistent creative assets that reflect the Chefs’ Manifesto and SDG2 Advocacy Hub brands, and drive online engagement, including graphics / social tiles / multimedia and written short-form content;
  • Supporting SDG2 Hub and Chefs’ Manifesto content, e.g. Case Studies, Blog Posts etc. with the creation of accompanying social assets and/or graphic elements;
  • Ensure that all graphics are developed and delivered on time and manage all design requests;
  • Increasing traffic and appealing to target audiences on the Hub’s and Chefs’ Manifesto social channels (including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn);
  • Use programming skills to build pages for the SDG2 Hub and Chefs’ Manifesto Websites;
  • Keep track and analyse key performance indicators for all social media channels;


Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Preferably previous experience in Graphic Design;
  • Previous experience working with the following social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram;
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Creativity and Graphic Design skills with knowledge of the relevant softwares (Canva, Adobe Illustrator, iMovie and the like);
  • Be able to produce original ideas;
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently;
  • Must be fluent in English.

Other duties as assigned by the Secretariat Director and Communications Officer.
