The SDG2 Advocacy Hub is committed to collecting, maintaining and using personal information about you responsibly. This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) applies to all of your use of www.SDG2AdvocacyHub.org (the “Site”) including services offered through the "SDG2advocacyhub.org" domain, such as the SDG2 Advocacy Hub Directory.

 

1.         Information We Collect From You When You Visit the Site

In general, you may visit the Site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself, except as set forth in this section. 

By accessing the Site, certain information such as your browser software, Internet protocol (IP) address, your navigation through the Site, including the date and time, along with other similar information, will be stored on our servers and on a third party analytics software. The purpose of this data collection is to better understand the preferences of visitors to the Site and to improve the user experience.

2.         Information You Submit To Us Through the Site

If you register for any of our mailing lists, to be included in our member database or otherwise choose to submit personal information to us through the Site, we will use that information for the purpose for which it was collected, and for other reasonably related compatible purposes such as administering the Site. 

Your information may be accessed by third party service providers who will process that information solely for our benefit and in accordance with our instructions.  We will not sell, release, or otherwise provide your personal information to any third party for their own marketing purposes except in connection with requests you make that clearly involve third parties, such as events that are presented or sponsored by third parties. This will always be made clear to you before you sign up for the service or event. 

If you submit a request to be included in the password protected SDG2 Advocacy Hub Directory (the “Directory”), you may choose to share personally identifiable information, such as contact information. Note that this information may be accessible to other members of the Directory, so do not submit anything you do not want others to see. We may use the information that you submit in connection with your request to be included in the Directory for the following purposes:

  • For the administration of the Directory
  • To keep in contact with you and facilitate contact between members of the Directory
  • To plan events for Directory members
  • To share information with you or take other action in furtherance of achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture by 2030

 

3.         Content Sharing Terms

By submitting any multimedia content via the SDG2 Advocacy Hub Site, you: (i) represent and warrant that you are of legal age of consent in the jurisdiction of your domicile; (ii) grant the World Food Programme, in its capacity as SDG2 Advocacy Hub administrator, a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free sublicenseable and transferable license to use, display, distribute, reproduce, modify, remix, transcode, excerpt, adapt, prepare derivative works of and compilations, publicly perform and publicly display such content in any media format or medium for any purpose whatsoever in connection with SDG2 Advocacy Hub activities, including sharing such content with registered members of the SDG2 Advocacy Hub for their use, subject to appropriate acknowledgement of the relevant licensor; (iii) represent and warrant that the multimedia content is original or that you hold the necessary rights to publish the content you submit and grant the World Food Programme the license hereunder; and (iv) agree to indemnify and hold the World Food Programme, its officers, agents and employees harmless from any claim or loss made by any third party due to or arising out of multimedia content you submit.

 

4.         Updating and Correction of Personal Information and Preferences

If you have an online account, you may access, update and correct your personal information – including your communications choices – at any time using the account management facilities via the Site. You may also opt out of receiving newsletters or other communications from us by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the relevant email.

 

5.         Links to other sites

Links to web sites that are not operated on behalf of the SDG2 Advocacy Hub (“Third Party Sites”) are provided solely as a convenience to you. If you use these links, you will leave the Site. This Privacy Policy does not apply to Third Party Sites.  The SDG2 Advocacy Hub Site assumes no responsibility for Third Party Sites or their content.

 

6.         Security

If you have registered to use online services on the Site, your account details may be password protected. It is your responsibility to keep your password confidential and secure, and to sign out once you have finished browsing.

 

7.         Agreement

By submitting your personal information on the Site you agree to the collection and use of your personal information on the basis described above. If you do not agree, please do not provide any personal information via the Site. If we decide to update our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes to this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect and how we use it. Any information collected under our old Privacy Policy will then become subject to the terms of our new Privacy Policy.
